On the 1st July 2009 the Addresses and Buildings Database Act (known in Dutch as ‘wet BAG’) became effective. In 2013 the act was tightened to such an extend that the (student) rooms (residential accommodation designated for a multi-person household) are no longer eligible for individual house numbers. Therefore, in collaboration with the municipality, the house number has changed.
No, DUO ('Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs') is informed automatically whenever an address is changed.

In the end the benefits willbe processed correctly with retrospective effect.
The Addresses and Buildings Database Act (known in Dutch as ‘wet BAG’) are part of a governmental registration system. Municipalities are the key source holders of the BAG. They are responsible for recording the data in the BAG and for its quality. All municipalities make the data concerning addresses and buildings centrally available via the National Service BAG ('Landelijke Voorziening' BAG). The office of land registry ('het Kadaster') manages the national service and makes the data available to the various organisations. Organizations with a public task, such as ministries, polder or dike boards, the police force and emergency services, are required to use the authentic data from the registrations.
