1e Middellandstraat and West-Kruiskade, which it extends into, are full of great eateries and shops. You can do your shopping here or at any of the large supermarkets in the area. Museumpark is a ten minute walk away, which means the Hogeschool Rotterdam sites in that area are also close by. In the summer, you and your fellow residents can enjoy a really pleasant food festival together in Wijkpark.
Students can rent one of the six rooms available in 1e Middellandstraat, which are an average size of 30m2. There is a kitchen, bathroom and toilet for every two rooms, so you’ll be sharing with just one other resident.
You’ll be living around the corner from West-Kruiskade, one of Delfshaven’s most lively streets. Just off here is Gouvernestraat, where you can take in a movie and have a drink at KINO. From here, you’re almost on Nieuwe Binnenweg, which is packed with nice eateries, coffee bars and plenty of cafés. It a less-than ten-minute cycle ride from home to Vroesenpark, where you can relax on the grass and fire up a barbecue. Erasmus MC and three of Hogeschool Rotterdam’s locations can be reached by bike in just five minutes.
Want to live here? To apply, you must be registered with Stadswonen Rotterdam. Please be aware of our rental conditions for students.
