Students can rent rooms and studios in this former office building in Rotterdam-Noord, right behind Centraal Station. From here you can cycle to Vroesenpark and Diergaarde Blijdorp (Rotterdam Zoo) in five minutes. There are supermarkets just around the corner, which is really handy!
The rooms in the Statenweg residential building are an average 22m2 in size. With these, you’ll share a kitchen, bathroom and toilet with one or more other residents. The studios, which measure an average 29m2, give you a kitchen, bathroom and toilet all to yourself. This building has 111 rooms and 106 studios. There is an active residents’ committee.
This is a neighbourhood that’s really on the up. Vroesenpark is the place to cycle to when the weather’s good. Just grab some clothes and wine and relax around a barbeque. Alternatively, look up a restaurant in the area. La Pizza, for example, is only about a two-minute walk from home. If the zoo is your thing, you can be at Diergaarde Blijdorp in five minutes. And living this close to Centraal Station means you can still get to lectures by public transport if you’re not in the mood for cycling.
Want to live here? To apply, you must be registered with Stadswonen Rotterdam. Please be aware of our rental conditions for students.
